What is your service area?
We service the entire Brazos Valley and beyond. If you are unsure whether or not you are in our service area, please contact us prior to death so that we can determine if we are able to serve you.
When my pet passes, what should I do?
Pet Legacies should be called as soon as your pet has passed away or as soon as you know if euthanasia has been scheduled at your clinic. You can call us at (979) 822-3717 or you may have your Veterinarian Clinic call us.
How long does it take to complete the cremation and get the ashes back?
Our goal is to complete the cremation as quickly as possible. Because we are local we can guarantee you that your pet will be returned to you much faster than if you use a non-local cremation provider. We understand that pet owners only want to be separated from their pet for the shortest amount of time possible. In most cases your pet will be returned to you within 2-3 days, and in some cases the very next day. If you choose, we even allow you to come pick up your pet’s urn at our Pet Memorial Center.
How much does cremation for my pet cost?
The cost for cremation can vary based on your pet’s weight. We charged a cremation fee of $195 for any pet up to 25lbs. For pets over 25lbs, additional charges will apply based on your pet’s weight classification. Visit our pricing page to view these costs. We offer pickup from your residence or vet clinic at no extra charge. We maintain certifications, licensing, and insurance on our cremation equipment, buildings, vehicles and staff, and this overhead is factored into our base charge.
Will my pet be cremated privately (no mixing of the ashes with other pets)?
Absolutely! Every cremation we perform is a private pet cremation. This means that each pet is cremated one at a time. Your pet and only your pet will be in the cremator during the cremation process. Our Legacy Track numbering system assures that you receive your pets cremated remains only.
Who can authorize the cremation?
The pet owner or designated friend can authorize the cremation.
Can I view the pet after it has been transferred from the place of death?
We offer our rainbow room at our Pet Memorial Center for a viewing period at no charge. An appointment must be scheduled.
Where do the cremations take place?
All our pet cremations are performed locally at the Pet Legacies Cremation Care Center in Bryan, Texas, a licensed and bonded crematory. Our pet crematory is a complete separate facility away from any human crematories.
Can I witness the cremation?
Absolutely. However, additional fees may apply to accommodate this request.
Is there anything else I will be required to buy?
